I'm feeling pretty tired (and happy) after a weekend trip to Rock Hall, Maryland. It was my first time visiting that area of the Chesapeake, which was nice to have explored, considering I'm working on an illustrated map of this region right now. We ate piles of blue crab, dipped into the bay, and learned how to do the "rock hall wave" . The weekend wrapped up with a drive over the awesome Chesapeake Bay Bridge and into Baltimore, where I had a chance to see the neighborhood mural/campus map I did earlier in the year for University of Baltimore (some detail shots here). It was cool to see my work at that scale (the mural is 120' wide)!
In other news, I just wrapped up illustrations for a new book that will be available this October from Hardie Grant UK, called Man Made. Written by Dan Jones (who is completely hilarious), the book is full of tips, funny and serious, showing men how to be well-groomed and dressed for success. This was such a fun project! Here are some sneak peeks at the illustrations:
And more maps are in the works too. Soon to be available are my Hudson Valley map and my Portland Maine map (which I'm creating for Portland Trading Co). And produce guides will be for sale soon too, so stay tuned.
