I was recently doing a little research on what sort of creatures live in Newtown Creek, a small body of water branching off the north end of the East River, and was surprised to learn how many different animals call this place home! I know that here in Greenpoint, Newtown Creek is has a pretty bad reputation relating to the pollution it's been victim to (namely an infamous 1978 oil spill), but creatures actually live here, a LOT of things, both great and small. I decided to highlight just a handful of them (plus one that might be fictional) in this abridged Newtown Creek Inventory I drew for the next Greenpoint Beer t-shirt. Prints will be coming soon too.
Kids and Cards
I just dropped off a limited supply of baby goat prints, and a stack of greeting cards (including a handful of mother's day cards) to Eastern District yesterday! If you think there's room in your life for kids, then here's a peek at the print....
and here's a detail...
And my baby goat window art was featured in the Village Voice's Fork in the Road blog! Here's a look at it:
ALSO! I'm going to be selling some prints and cards, and who knows what at the Greenpointers Spring Market on Sunday, 4/26! Hope you can make it :)
